Pope Leo XIV on Tuesday appointed a coadjutor bishop for the Diocese of Fajardo-Humacao, the third bishop nomination for the island of Puerto Rico in under three months.

Aug. 22 (UPI) --The ex-mayor of Humacao, Puerto Rico, was sentenced to three years and one month in prison Tuesday for his role in a bribery and kickback scheme involving municipal contracts.
